I celebrate my 60 birthday when the restaurant had just open 2 weeks before and it was good. We go there at least every 2 months with a big group. They all love the place. Only needs more music to dance all night. Thanks everyone for the good job.

Horrible service! We were there for the New Year party and the fat guy at the door treated us like if we were asking for a free ticket. He was very rude and asked us to pay 55 dollars per person because we had no reservations even when we told him we just wanted to dance NOT to eat since I know their food is not good. The place is NOT at all worth it, the dancing floor is small and NOT in a good condition but the worse thing is the poor service. I don't even know why they offer dancing parties when there is not enough space to dance. My kitchen is three times bigger than their dancing floor.

Be careful when calling in orders. Most of the workers are new and don't know the menu price so they will gyp you out of money even if the menu price is valid. It won't be honored!

The two times I've been there the food took a long time to get out to us and it wasn't hot. The food was maybe just a little warm and kind of bland. Maybe people who are not Latin or have not ever eaten at a good Latin restaurant, the food would be good but I will never go there again.

I ate here for the first time and it was amazing. Marjorie did an awesome job, she was very friendly and truly cared about our experience. The food brought me back to my childhood in NY. Will be coming back, I didn't think I could love any Latin place more than Tropical Pickin Chicken but it is just as good and some dishes are better!!

The restaurant was hot and there were areas that definitely needed cleaning. I was with a large group and despite the restaurant having ample room in the other areas the management continued to seat the tables adjacent to our table. This created an inconvenient traffic pattern and constant apologies to the other guest. This was completely avoidable. The service was unacceptable at every level. It took forever to get a drink and again the establishment was not very busy and there were numerous wait staff available. Most of the staff appeared more interested in their conversations around the DJ booth. The food was good but not worth the negative aspects of the experience.

15 minutes before we were spoken to after being seated, after I grabbed a manager. Then took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Then about an hour to get our food. So it was about an hour and a half before we started eating. During the wait we ordered other drinks but drinks took 20 minutes and constant reminder to then to get it. Food was good. Then we finished eating and ask about the restaurant becoming a night club and the waiter said in about an hour it will. We paid to stay for that portion but on a Saturday night, one couple danced and nobody else came. So we left. I left out a lot more of the terrible experience I had that night because I could write a book on it, but it's just a review about a poorly manged restaurant that I will never go back to.

This is more like a pub, night club. The restaurant is completely out of it's layout. It doesn't have any Latin spirit at all. If you are in a latin resataurant your servers must speak spanish, at least most of them; none. There is food on the menu that can't be served(why is it on the menu then?) and the taste, we hated it. Ohh but the worst was the wait. We had to wait almost 30 min. For them to open when the hours said at 12:00pm. So they opened at 12:30 we had to sit outside.

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere makes me feel at home. Great tasting food, fantastic staff, very clean and cared for. Customer service is great. I found a home away from home. My family and I plan to make trips once a month. Thank you for placing this gem so close to home.

I've been several times and every time I come the food taste very different, the cooks are very inconsistent. Now the owner is not thinking about costumer service Tables are falling apart/needs new restaurant tables not minor repairs. Floor is dirty and music is too loud.Very dissapointed, by the way the food is serve in different ways. There is a lot of confusion with the kitchen staff/ short in staff. Anyway they need a good manager that takes the place to a new level. Hope this review helps "if they really care about what costumer shave to say"

Stopped by this place for lunch for the first time. This area is usually busy at lunch time, so it was a surprise to see that me and my friends were the only table in the whole place. I thought that was going to be a big red flag, but to my delight, the food was great! All of my friends agreed. I'll be going back and trying more things on the menu.

The service first and foremost was not good. It's no wonder they add the tip to you bill otherwise they wouldn't get tipped very well. Our food came out at all different times. By the time some of our food came out others at our table were already done eating. Also, the menu is very limited with selections and I would hardly call it "down home Puerto Rican food" Prices are OK. I feel like they're a little on the high side for the quality of food and service received. The juices taste like they come from those frozen cans. Most likely wouldn't go back. The atmosphere is completely dead. The restaurant looks nothing like the pictures advertised on their website.

Great food and great service. We have been here a several times and tried a number of dishes; none of which have disappointed. Ask for Yessi; she is lots of fun, and will add to your experience. For an appetizer I recommend the EMPANADAS. You get three flaky fried shell filled with your choice of beef, chicken, jerk chicken, guava, spinach with cheese, or pork with yellow rice. Get three different ones to try; they are are all great. My go to entree dish is EL POLLO CARIBENO: a spicy jerk chicken slow cooked with habanero, red chili pepper, jalapeño, & tropical spices. I usually order it extra spicy for some additional kick, but either way you cannot go wrong with this dish; spicy, juicy and delicious. If you have room for dessert, try the TRES LECHES. Be warned it is a large piece, so plan to share.

We went with a group of people and 4 of us split one of the family meals. The menu says the family meals feed 3 or 4 people. We went with the largest since we were splitting it 4 ways. The food was great and more than we could finish in one sitting. We could have split it 5 or 6 ways. Service can be great or awful at any restaurant on any given night depending on who your waiter or waitress is. We had a great experience.

OK I have been here twice and the food is excellent. I took my Girlfriend and her mom today who are Dominican"from the old country" and they loved it. We had the family platter for 25$ which consisted of salad, chicken, rice, and beans and it could have easily fed a fourth. The service was outstanding! He could speak Spanish and English. For all the bad reviews I don't know what you guys are talking about. This place is the best Puerto Rican food in North Carolina!

I was pretty skeptical to try this place based on the reviews it currently has. Luckily I found a local deal on amazon, and figured I'd give them a shot. While the service was indeed slow, considering the place was practically empty, the food wasn't horrible. Two of us got mofongos (I've had better, but these weren't terrible either), and another had their arroz con pollo. The arroz con pollo came in a mini pot - and was enough food for dinner and lunch! We definitely got our monies worth, and will be returning to try other dishes. Overall a decent experience, just check out my pics - the dishes were really good.

I've only gone twice and both times were for lunch. Food is okay, staff is nice. Food takes a long time to arrive at our table once order is placed. I really like the pork empanadas so far the most. The mango juice does not taste fresh. I will keep trying this place since it's so close to my job and it's the closest thing to Spanish food I want that is not Mexican.

It's been a while since I visited LQ. Bragged for a week to a friend that I was taking for the first time about a specific dish. Got there, ordered the dish, which is still on the menu, just to be told they don't serve it. Didn't bother to stay.. if the Menu is messed up figured my food would be too..

I've eaten at this place twice, and experienced TERRIBLE costumer service both times. Went on at Sat around 4pm and left at 7pm. 😡 Everything took WAY too long, over 2hrs were spent between waiting for the waitress/host to seat us, bringing us our drinks, and bringing out our food and there were only three tables with customers including us. If you order something off the menu that doesn't exist, they'll bring you something similar. :/ Apparently the menu is from the previous owners/management! The food is okay, but I don't think I'll dine in again. I suggest you try calling in your order. I don't recommend eating here if you are in a hurry or are really hungry, since service is SLOW.

Overpriced and under quality. I was pretty disappointed with this place. I ordered a “pickup” when I got there they could not locate my order, so they had to reorder it, it was completely dysfunctional. Once my food arrived they were missing half of my order, so I had to wait some more for that order. All together the food came out to $45 which I had no problem paying because I thought I was getting authentic food. Once home the meat looked scary, I know some of it was pork but for the life of my I couldn’t figure out what the long white piece of meat was. I literally wouldn’t even give it to my dog. Also the plantains were dry and burnt. There is NO way I would ever eat at this establishment again.

When we first came in into the restaurant it took staff to acknowledge us in about 5 minutes to finally say something . Then when we had the whole party to be seated, they didn't want to seat us because the server was not ready for us. The food was alright. When it was time to close our tabs the server completely got all of our cards confused and managed to screw our tickets up. She was trying her best but the restaurant was definitely under staff. We went to support our friends sister in law since she was playing in the live band for the night. We chose to eat and have expensive drinks at this place because of the above reason. Before we even had out receipts paid the staff managed to come to our table checking with flashlights if we had bought our entrance bracelet. At the end of the night I felt very frustrated with the experience I had at this restaurant. Horrible customer service, under staff, and not such amazing food to want to return.

Service was pretty slow, but not terrible. Not one water refill the whole meal. Wife got a Cubano sandwich which was pretty dry and not very flavorful. It came with fries that tasted as if they came from a bowling alley. I had one the signature sandwiches made with plantains/seasoned chicken and it was a bit better, but still left much to be desired.

So I read the reviews and thought maybe it got better. Was looking for a good Puerto Rican place since there isn't any other place locally so figured I'd give it a shot. Incredibly disappointed. Service was horrible, waitress did not ask nor get a high chair for my daughter. Horrible attitude. Half the things on the menu they didn't even have. Like everyone else I agree that the music was good but that was about it. Food was mediocre. Will never go back to this place

Not a good lunch place. They only ever have one waitress on hand the multiple times I have been dragged here and service is incredibly slow. Food has been forgotten and build have been messed up. If you are unlucky enough to get caught in a lunch rush be prepared for a two hour wait and no refills. The food is decent but that is the only thing.
